Rhythmic gymnastics bars are certainly some of the most beautiful pieces of equipment, but they are also some of the most fragile. They need to be stored carefully so as not to crease the fabric. They should be washed at intervals and ironed only through a cotton cloth in order to preserve the fabric.

The material from which the bands are made is very soft to the touch and very durable. Called "rayon", it is obtained by regeneration from a liquid solution of cellulose. The special thing about it is that even after processing, it does not lose its natural properties. It is called a semi-synthetic material, which means that it is produced by complex synthetic processing, but from completely natural materials.

Most of Sasaki's bands have the length and strength required for international competition and are approved by the FIG (International Gymnastics Federation) and JGA (Japanese Gymnastics Association). They are available in many interesting colour combinations to suit all tastes.
